
Ragdoll colours and patterns
There are six recognised Ragdoll colours, Seal, Blue, Chocolate, Lilac, Red, and Cream. There are three main patterns, Colour point, Mitted and Bi-colour these patterns can be overlayed by Tortie, Torbie and Tabby. Torbie is a Tortie + Tabby = Torbie.
Ragdolls are born white/cream and start to develope their colour and patterns within a week or two and will continue to develop over the next two to three years.

Seal
The body colour ranges from ivory to pale fawn beigeshading gradually into a lighter colour on the belly and chest. The points range from a warm seal brown to a deep brownish black. T he paw pads and nose leather will be a seal brown to brownish black, with rosy undertones.


Blue
The body is bluish white to platinum grey, cold in tone and free of any tinge of brown, shading gradually to a lighter colour on the belly and chest. The points will be blue-grey to deep slate. The paw pads and nose leather are dark greyish blue.

Chocolate point

Chocolate
The body is ivory shading gradually to lighter colour on the belly and chest. The points range from warm milk chocolate to a darker chocolate tone, all with rose undertones. Paw pads should be a brownish salomon pink with rose-brown nose leather.

Lilac
Body magnolia white. Points a pale dove grey with pinkish tones to a warmer deep lavender, the dilute pigment permitting the flesh tones to show through. Paw pads and nose leather pink.

Red
The body is a warm, even. creamy white. The points are deep orange to red. The paw pads and nose leather are pink.

Cream tabby Ragdoll
Cream
The body is creamy white. The points ranging from pale sand to deep cream. To some up the cream is dull, cool buff beige. The paw pads and nose leather are pink.

Colourpoint - Mitted - Bi-colour
Colour point.
The points, ears, mask, feet and tail are dark with the colour well defined. The body should have a definite contrast between it and the points.

Mitted
The points are dark and contrasting to the body, there are matching white mitts on the front feet and white back legs at least to the hock. The chin is white and there may be a blaze on the face above the nose.

Bi-Colour
The ears, mask and tail are well defined in the darker colour. The mask has a white inverted "V" which should be as symmetrical as possible. The chest, stomach, all four legs, feet and ruff are white.
